"Le Verger" is situated in the centre of the unique Devon Valley on the western outskirts of Stellenbosch. Surrounded by wine farms, "Le Verger" grows olives, protea and lavender.

The main house and the B & B accommodation overlook a delightful "lake", which attracts an amazing birdlife. Our resident Spotted Eagle Owls, Mr & Mrs Wol, become proud parents annually in October/November and guests can watch the owlet take its first steps to learning how to fly and hunt.

Le Verger

A variety of fruit trees provides fresh fruit and home made preserves, jams and jellies to be enjoyed by the guests staying over on the farm. Even the lavender gets used to make delicious homemade lavender muffins and shortbread. 100% pure lavender oil can be bought from the farm.

There are two olive groves on the hill behind the main house with a total of 900 trees, consisting of Mission, Frantoio, Leccino and Coratina - grown in the proportion that provides a distinctive and unique oil. All the oil produced is Extra Virgin (cold pressed) and is sold locally as well as to the overseas market. Some of the Mission olives are carefully hand picked and preserved in a blueberry dressing by The Mother Person.

The proteas, mainly pincushions, are also carefully selected and packed by the family, to be exported to Amsterdam, Japan and America during the months of July through to October.
